The Amaroo Village Buckley Caring Centre provides care for residents who may need a little extra assistance to make the most of their daily lives. The Centre offers its residents support with chores such as cleaning or doing personal laundry, as may be required from time to time.
Housed within a modern complex, all rooms are comfortably appointed and offer views across Amaroo's neatly manicured grounds. The centre comprises four separate wings; the Jarrah Wing, accommodating 18 en-suite rooms; the Karri Wing with 31 rooms; the Tuart Wing with 24 rooms within four cluster houses and the Azalia Wing providing eight secure dementia rooms.
All rooms are fitted with computerised emergency systems, built-in wardrobes, cupboards, refrigerator, comfortable beds and many have private bathrooms. Residents are encouraged to bring in special items such as photographs, a favourite armchair and a television set.
Staff at Buckley are keen to offer additional help with daily tasks such as showering, dressing and supervision of medication. No restriction is placed on residents wanting to leave the building and guests are welcome to visit any time. Dining is always a highlight with nutritious meals prepared fresh each day by our resident chef. All dietary and cultural needs are catered for and meals are served in the main dining room, allowing residents to socialise. The Buckley Centre offers a range of enjoyable activities including pool, bingo, a walking club, sundowners, craft, church services and regular outings.
