Services offered by Tanderra
Tanderra aims to establish an individual program for each resident, to enable the person to participate in Tanderra life as desired.
We encourage residents to make informed choices about the options available to them. Our caring team offers assistance each day with activities of daily living.
We are skilled in identifying cognative impairment, confusion, signs and symptoms of dementia and design programs that assist these residents to manage their symptoms and function at optimum levels.
We cater for special dietary requirements. The small size of our facility makes it possible to personalise our menus. Our residents can take a stroll to the dining room if they wish and enjoy freshly cooked breakfast daily.
Registered nurses on duty supervise each resident's program of care and administration of medication.

The history of Tanderra Hostel
Tanderra Hostel was established in 1951 by the initiative of members for the Congregational Women's Association of Victoria as a residential caring ministry for elderly persons. In 1977 Tanderra's caring ministry became part of the Uniting Church In Australia with responsibility continuing to be vested in a Council of Management.
