St Vincent's Hospital
Palliative Care Service
St Vincent's Hospital is the largest private hospital in rural New South Wales, encompassing public services contracted from the NSW Department of Health.
Palliative Care
St Vincent's Palliative Care Service is unique in that the private and public health care sectors and the local community work together to provide a 24-hour, seven day per week service to patients, their families and carers. The Palliative Care Team works closely with General Practitioners to provide quality care, compassion and support. The support mechanism also includes a team of specially trained volunteers.
The modern unit at St Vincent's is complemented by a comprehensive community consultative service, including advice on pain and symptom control, spiritual, emotional and bereavement support along with after hours care for registered patients.
