What does a Homeopathic consultation involve?

At More Than Physio we treat both Acute & Chronic complaints. An Acute complaint is considered to be a ‘short lived’ condition whilst a Chronic complaint is regarded as a condition which you have suffered with for more than 4 weeks. Chronic conditions require constitutional treatment as they are affecting your body on a much deeper level.

An Acute homeopathic consultation takes about 30 minutes & involves the homeopath gaining an understanding of your presenting condition with your individual pattern of symptoms. This information is then analyzed & a single homeopathic medicine prescribed.

A Constitutional consultation takes 1 ½ - 2 hours & is an in-depth information gathering session in order to treat the underlying causes of ill-health, taking into account not only the condition itself but you as a whole person. This includes your lifestyle, medical history, likes & dislikes, mental & emotional aspects as well. It’s often the small idiosyncrasies that are ‘the real you’ that help a homeopath select the remedy that best fits your needs.

Homeopathy is not about ‘one medicine fits all’ & your specific condition is a result of your own physical, mental and emotional nature. This is why homeopathic constitutional consultations generally take longer than those you might be used to with other types of practitioners. Getting to know the ‘real you’ takes longer than 10 or 15 minutes. The information obtained is then analyzed and a single homeopathic, medicine prescribed.
