Tailored Remedial Massage

This is one of the most popular types of massage., as it provides relief of muscular tension whilst facilitating relaxation.    For each massage session our therapists first assess your soft tissue condition, and then treat the dysfunction that is the cause of pain, injury or stress. It is very effective in the treatment of migraines/ headaches , TMJ, RSI, sciatic pain, etc...

The techniques used during this session include: Muscle Energy Technique, Active / Passive Joint Mobilisation, Active / Passive Stretching, and Trigger Point Therapy.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The massage therapist uses slower strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle.

Deep tissue massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury. People often feel sore for one to two days after deep tissue massage.

Pregnancy Massage

Also called prenatal massage, pregnancy massage is becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers. Massage therapists who are certified in pregnancy massage know the proper way to position and support the woman's body during the massage, and how to modify techniques.

Pregnancy massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression. The massage is customized to a woman's individual needs.

Myotherapy

Our therapists will identify and assess the dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. This method of treatment is a combination of massage, electro therapy, myofascial dry needling, and exercise prescription, to enhance mobility and performance, reduce pain, and improve recovery time.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is specifically designed for people who are involved in physical activity. But you don't have to be a professional athlete to have one-it's also used by people who are active and work out often. The focus isn't on relaxation but on preventing and treating injury and enhancing athletic performance.

A combination of techniques are used and will help to loosen muscles and increase flexibility.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLDM)

MLDM is a type of gentle, non-invasive massage which is aimed at encouraging the natural circulation of the lymph system through the body. This treatment helps to detoxify the body, boost the immune system, and reduce fluid retention.

Cupping Therapy with Massage

Cupping helps to balance the yin and yang, and promotes the circulation of energy and blood flow. By using vacuum cups it is an excellent method to help the body detox, and also beneficial for improving the common cold, asthma, menstrual pain, and old injuries to soft tissue.

Reflexology with Massage

Although reflexology is sometimes called foot massage, it is more than simple foot massage. Reflexology involves applying pressure to certain points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Reflexology is very relaxing, especially for people who stand on their feet all day or just have tired, achy feet.

Oriental Remedial Massage (Tui Na)

Tui na is a hands-on-body treatment using acupressure points, and is a modality of Chinese medicine whose purpose is to bring the body into balance. Tui na helps the body to remove blockages along the meridians of the body and stimulates the flow of qi and blood to promote healing, similar to principles of acupuncture, moxibustion, and acupressure. An oil free treatment suitable for those with nut allergies.

Relaxation Massage

Based on a well known Swedish technique this gentle and soothing treatment will help you relax and unwind. An ideal way to de-stress and re-energise. The pressure of the Relaxation Massage can be adjusted by the therapist.
