Your gateway to the health industry

The Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR) is the peak
professional society representing Australian health and medical
research.
The ASMR, in addition to direct membership, represents 18,000
people actively involved in health and medical research through
forty-six (46) affiliated professional societies and Medical
Colleges.
Corporate and disease related foundation memberships bring a further 95,500 Australians with an interest in health and medical research into the ASMR network.
The Society has a long established role in public, political and scientific advocacy.“Exceptional Returns: The Value of Investing in Health R&D in Australia”, an Access Economics Report commissioned by ASMR , underpins our political advocacy for increased funding.
In 2005/6, ASMR seeks to bring together the many thousands of Australians who are represented by disease support groups. To impact on the current political landscape, we must have broad, vocal and unified public support.
