The ACT Human Rights Commission promotes the human rights and welfare of people living in the ACT. The role of the Commission includes:

  • Increasing awareness of the rights and responsibilities of users and providers of health services, disability services, services for older people and services for children and young people

  • Fostering compliance with the ACT’s Health Records (Privacy and Access) Act and

  • Promoting service improvement.
