Silver Chain CareLink Personal Alarms
Silver Chain is a not for profit organisation who is the largest provider of community care within Western Australia. Our TeleCare solutions include the CareLink Alarm which is designed to maintain the Clientâ€™s independence and increase their sense of security and wellbeing by enabling them to alert family, friends or emergency services of their need for assistance.
The CareLink Alarm is suitable for people living alone, people with disabilities and/or ongoing medical conditions, or anyone who is concerned about their personal safety in the home. Available throughout Australia, the alarm is a small water resistant pendant that is worn around the neck (recommended). The pendant can be worn up to 80 metres away from the alarm unit which is installed near the telephone.
With just one touch of a button a signal is sent to our monitoring centre where a trained operator will answer the call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The operator will speak to the Client through the alarm intercom and then contact either the person(s) they have nominated, or an emergency service to attend to the call for assistance
Our Operators will STAY ON THE LINE with the Client until help arrives.
Any change in condition or the situation will be noted and acted upon immediately.
We also offer a KeySafe product which allows the Client to securely store keys outside their home, allowing safe entry for aides, family members or if necessary emergency services.
Additional TeleCare Sensors
TeleCare sensors allow a wide range of risks to be managed including both environmental and physical, from leaving the stove on or tap running, to a period of inactivity which could indicate a problem with the health of the individual.
We have a range of assistive technology sensors available that work in conjunction with our alarm. Packages to detect falls and seizures are available, as well as other sensors such as smoke detectors, flood sensors or bogus caller â€śpanicâ€ť buttons. We also have packages to assist quadriplegic Clients and those with dementia.
