Disability SA - Independent Living Centre

The Independent Living Centre (ILC), incorporating the Continence Resource Centre, provides information and advice on assistive technology (AT), equipment and techniques to assist people to improve their quality of life and maintain independence.

The service is staffed by health professionals, including Occupational Therapists, a Speech Pathologist and a Registered Nurse and is available to all members of the public, including people with a disability, injury or illness, older people, carers, community groups, health professionals, organisations and students.

Information and advice can be obtained over the phone, through email, via the online AT database or via booked appointments with health professionals in the display at Gilles Plains. The ILC also provides an outreach service through regional areas of South Australia. Attendance at community events and provision of educational sessions can also be provided on request.
