Yooralla is one of Victoria's oldest and largest non-profit community organisations. We help Victorians who live with a disability acquired from birth, accident, ill health or age. We help both children and adults with disabilities to do everyday things that most of us take for granted - things like eating, talking, showering, working and generally living independently.

Almost one in every five Victorians lives with a disability of some kind.Yooralla employs over 1000 specialist staff to address the needs of around 30,000 of these Victorians with disabilities every year, many on a daily basis.

The aim in all Yooralla programs is to assist people with disabilities and their families to determine their goals and then to achieve them or take important steps toward achieving them.We try to offer just the right amount of encouragement - without being pushy - to offer support - without being a permanent crutch - and to give direction as to where the answers might be found and let them learn from a personal journey.

“It’s not so much a case of what Yooralla does for so many people in similar positions to ours, but a case of what would we all do if Yooralla wasn’t there?”
