About us

Twilight Aged Care Groups a not for profit organisation originally established as a private charity in 1915. We currently have four hostels, two of which are for women only. Approximately 75% of our residents require dementia specific care.

Our Philosophy

That the optimal physical, psychological and spiritual well-being of aged people should be a prime objective of a caring community irrespective of financial status. This involves commitment to residents and other interested parties in a culture of continuous improvement and self assessment.

Our philosophy has always been to encourage maximum independence for residents in a caring, companiable home environment, being vigilant to individual needs and providing support whenever necessary.

From our Board of Directors, to our CEO, Management Team and Staff; at Twilight House we have an holistic approach to our work and our residents, which includes continually striving to improve or enhance our services wherever possible and to ensure that our residents live in a comfortable and homely environment.

Bequests and Donations

As a private charity and not for profit organisation, Twilight House warmly welcomes any bequests or donations. Financial gifts continue to make a difference in the lives of our residents and we would encourage anyone who is considering making a donation to contact us.

Horton House

Horton House opened in 1979 and is located a short stroll from Gordon shopping centre, railway station, several churches, adjacent to Ravenswood School for Girls.

Horton House is a female-only hostel with 34 single rooms and shared bathroom facilities.

All Twilight House facility rooms contain a bed, wardrobe, emergency call system, floor coverings, curtains, heating/cooling, TV and telephone outlet.

All of our hostels offer an Activities Program, Hostel bus for outings and appointments, and all residents have access to full medical care with visiting medical specialists, podiatry and physiotherapy.

All facilities are fully accredited.
